TaxPlaceIndependent tax toolsLast updated 20 August 2026. This policy explains what TaxPlace collects, how your tax records are stored and secured, and how you can export or delete them at any time. TaxPlace is an independent service and is not connected to any Nigerian government system.
Account details (name, email), the taxpayer profile answers you give during onboarding, the income, expense and document records you create, and usage logs needed to run the service securely.
We do not collect or store National Identification Numbers (NIN) in this version of the product. Do not upload documents containing information you do not want stored.
Records are stored in an access-controlled database. Row-level security means your rows can only be read by your signed-in account. Uploaded files live in a private storage bucket scoped to your user folder. Sensitive server credentials are never exposed to the browser.
From Settings you can export all your data, request deletion of specific data, or delete your account entirely. You can also manage consent preferences at any time.
Payments will be handled by Paystack once billing is switched on. We do not integrate with any Nigerian government system, and we do not share your records with any tax authority.
TaxPlace provides tax information, calculation tools and compliance assistance. It does not constitute legal, tax or accounting advice. Tax outcomes depend on individual circumstances and applicable law. Consult a qualified tax professional where necessary.
