Terms of Service

Last updated 20 August 2026. These terms govern your use of TaxPlace, an independent Nigerian tax education, estimation and record-keeping service. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What TaxPlace is

TaxPlace is a private, independent software service that provides tax education, estimates and record-keeping tools for Nigerian taxpayers. It is not a government service and cannot file returns or make payments to any tax authority on your behalf.

2. Estimates, not advice

All figures produced by the calculator, health score and assistant are estimates based on the information you supply and the rules stored in our library. They do not constitute legal, accounting or tax advice. Always confirm with a qualified tax professional or the relevant tax authority before acting.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for meeting your own filing and payment obligations, and for keeping your account credentials secure.

4. Subscriptions

Paid plans renew on the cycle shown at checkout. Billing is processed by Paystack. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, TaxPlace is not liable for penalties, interest or losses arising from reliance on estimates produced by the service.

TaxPlace is an independent product. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Nigeria Revenue Service, the Joint Revenue Board, any state internal revenue service or any Nigerian government agency.

TaxPlace provides tax information, calculation tools and compliance assistance. It does not constitute legal, tax or accounting advice. Tax outcomes depend on individual circumstances and applicable law. Consult a qualified tax professional where necessary.
